While Google is still the world’s dominant search engine, TikTok has become more appealing to Gen Z – using its algorithm to personalize content. TikTok provides a result that not only answers their question in a short time frame, but provides a comment section making their search more interactive and relevant.
In recent studies, it was found that 40% of “young people” used TikTok or Instagram to find a place for lunch vs. Google Maps or Search. TikTok is becoming a “one-stop shop” for younger consumers.
